A drop-stitch floor uses thousands of internal threads to hold the floor's shape under pressure, creating a firm surface rather than the softer profile of a conventional I-beam floor.

 positions the drop-stitch design around added buoyancy, a drier floor, easier movement inside the raft, and improved shallow-water performance. The firmer surface is particularly useful for anglers because it can reduce the need for a separate casting platform.
